sewing guild...

treats. we are having a drawing at our closing social and here are some of the goodies. i am not super pumped about the pin cushion-thread-catcher. i think the pin cushion is too small, but it still looks cute. i totally want to make a quilt our of the coaster fabric. i love the brown, yellow, and red theme. maybe that can be my swap color scheme...

bridal shower...

for a girl at work that i have only worked with three times. i couldn't get anything lingerie-ish because that seemed weird since i don't know her. and seeing that i missed the potholder pass, i decided to make her some as well as some coordinating coasters. mine are not nearly as awesome as hers... but i am still trying to figure out the free-motion foot.

pillows...

i have been seeing a lot of super cute pillows lately and decided to make a few. we had two pillows on our bed that i hated because the monkeys pulled the buttons off. here are my three new pillows... i thought about sending the owl one to my sissy-in-law... we'll see. i love him soooo much!
the snail and leaf pillows were inspired by these pretties on etsy. my wee girl LOVED the snail one and asked if we could try making our own.

13 ounces...

or less! that is what the challenge is from the giverslog. you can read about it here! my niece, nephew and bro-in-law all had birthdays and i needed to mail something quick... so here are my three 13 ounce or less good bottles.

the fuze bottles have a wider opening which made it easier to stuff. this is so fun, the mail clerk said that she was going to go home and make a few for her grandbabes.

the quilt: quilted?

at least i think so... i got the idea behind the quilting from the oh so talented miss jacquie of tallgrassprairie, she calls it fractured quilting. and i immediately fell in love with her neighborhood quilts.

the quilt...

the boy and i just celebrated 10 years and here is the "memory" quilt i made to celebrate. he only got the top on our actual anniversary, but at least it was something:

we did it. the doilies are on and the cake looks amazing. the only thing left is to put the berries on right before the ceremony. hooray...

project wedding cake: covered...

the three tiers are covered and assembled. we will bring them over to the reception hall in the morning and apply the doilies. almost there...

project wedding cake the doilies are made...

we found a stamp and cut out the fondant doilies. it wasn't as bad as i had thought it would be. and the stamp was perfect!
