thanksgiving table decor...

so the kids and i spent the weekend making table decor for thanksgiving. i let them choose the stamps and we got to work.

here are our place cards, mint boxes, and "mixture" treat bags:
here is my take on the ever so popular owl treat bags:

and a closeup of one of the little fellas:

my kids really loved these bags so we tweaked the original idea a bit and made them into turkeys. i let the kids do all the punching and gluing... so they are each unique and quite cute. we had a lot of fun making these and they are so excited for everyone to see them on the big day.

the mixture is a favorite of my kids...
2 parts oatmeal cereal
2 parts peanutbutter filled pretzels
1 part mixed dried fruit
1 part mixed nuts
1/2 part chocolate chips
enjoy!

teacher appreciation...

well here it is almost thanksgiving and i wanted my kids to let their teachers know how grateful and thankful they are for their diligent, patient teaching skills. here are some treats that we made for them.

for mr. d's first grade teacher
for miss thangs preschool teacher
each one has a homemade loaf of pumpkin chocolate chip bread and a cute note that my kids wrote for their teachers.

color challenge #31...

i love fall and these colors are great.
here is another challenge via the color challenge queen.

its my mom and dad's 33rd anniversary on friday... and look, now i have a card for them. minus the purple, these were my parents colors when they got married.
i used one of the pocket silhouette stamps to make a "wreath" and then cut out a circle from the middle and another from the center of the card base with my circle nestabilities. the sentiment is stamped in versa mark and then clear embossed to make it pop.

supplies:
stamps: stampin'up! (pocket silhouettes and best yet)
ink: stampin'up! (pumpkin pie, close to cocoa, elegant eggplant, and so saffron) versa mark
paper: stampin'up! (whisper white & textured close to cocoa)
misc: american craft (ribbon) clear embossing powder nestabilities

color challenge #30

another challenge from kristina...

i love these simple colors... two greens, white, and a brown. it is perfect, so clean and elegant!

i have been seeing these cool flowers around, but unfortunately they are no where to be found where i live so i tried making my own. super easy and very cute, although i am sure the real ones are much better.

anyhow... here is my inspiration. i really like simple things and you can't get much more simple than this. can't wait to see everybody's.

supplies:
paper: stampin'up! (whisper white, old olive, certainly celery, & sahara sand)
stamps: papertrey ink (polka dot basics, floral frenzy & 2008 holiday tag collection)
ink: stampin'up! (old olive & certainly celery) versa mark
misc: circle punches, white embossing powder, michael's (ribbon)
